Discovering Umbrian olive oil & Autumn rural food

Emotional tasting experience

Participants will stay in an historical monastery set in olive groves

A weekend to experiment, learn and increase knowledge concerning extra virgin olive oil.
A great occasion to participate at the olive harvest, to watch the extraction and to taste “new olive juice” just pressed from the mill.

An authentic experience to discover the rural and handcraft production of extra virgin olive oil,  trufles, salumi, cheese & wines.

Participants will stay in an historical monastery set in olive groves 

A food quality expert, professional wine and olive oil sommelier, will guide the welcome drinks and the autumn Umbrian dinner with local wines and rural products.

Friday 
6.00 p.m. 

  • Welcome drinks and tasting rural and artisan local products

Saturday 
09.00 a.m.

  • Visit at the world famous Lungarotti Olive Oil Museum

11.00 a.m

  • An olive oil appreciation tasting sessions 

1.00 p.m.

  • Lunch in a traditional restaurant – (meal and wine included) 

3.00 p.m.

  • Visit at olive oil mill in action to study in deep all phases of oil extraction and tasting new oils

8.00 p.m.

  • An autumn dinner to celebrate the Umbrian cuisine in local restaurant  with the “new olive juice” and food pairing, included 3 local wines degustation with a professional sommelier (house wine and water all included - all other beverage is extra)

Sunday
8.00 a.m.

  • Visit at the Saint Felice abbey, a masterpiece of Umbrian Romanesque with Lombard influences, enclosed in the magnificence of centuries-old olive trees 

2.00    p.m

  • An Umbrian “merenda” in the olive grove or in the olive oil mill with porchetta and wine

5.00 p.m

  • An olive oil appreciation tasting sessions 

6.00 p.m

  • Check out. Whether continuing your travels in Italy or returning home, we could help you with any post-tour planning.

€ 390 per person. All taxes & Italian VAT included.
Program Prices based on a double occupancy
2 nights overstay in an historical monastery (single or double room with bathroom – breakfast included)
Check in Friday at 5.00 p.m.
Check out Sunday at 7.00 p.m.

Please note: airfares and transportation are not included (participants will move with their private cars)
If you would like to add on transfers to and from your hotel / Monastery please let us know your group size and we will be happy to provide for reserve price and the transfer (s) for you.
